#SticksandStones… New Single from Jason Reeves

One of the very first musicians that I discovered upon my arrival to Los Angeles was the extremely talented lyricist and guitarist, Jason Reeves. If you’re not familiar with his name, I’m sure you’ve heard of some of the amazingly talented musicians that he’s worked with like Colbie Caillat. One of my favorite songs is actually one that they collaborated on called, Droplets:

Recently, I was put in touch with Jason’s management and asked if I’d be interested in helping with his social media efforts. Since social media is my passion and I truly believe in Jason’s talent, I was really excited about this opportunity! I’m really honored to be a part of the team and excited for everyone to hear his next single that comes out next week! The day after Valentine’s Day (February 15th), Jason will release Sticks & Stones which is the follow up track to his first single, Helium Hearts off his upcoming album, The Lovesick.

In celebration of his new single, Jason is currently hosting a Twitter Contest where an autographed lyric sheet is up for grabs!

Spread the Word, Give Hope… Be an Angel

With the holidays literally around the corner… I am reminded of how lucky I am and ways that I can help give back to others who are less fortunate. Every holiday season (and periodically throughout the year) I like to support  several charities that I am passionate about. This year, I made donations to the Lance Armstrong foundation, helped organize a Gulf Coast benefit event for my company in addition to making donations to various wildlife organizations working to help animals affected by the oil spill. This holiday season, I have discovered an amazing organization to support: The Global Angels Organization.

I was truly touched when I first learned about the Global Angel organization through Daniel Bedingfield. It is a wonderful charity that was established by Daniel and Natasha Bedingfield’s mother, Molly in 2004 with its sole mission being to answer “the cry of the children” who are suffering around the world. With her heartfelt passion and philanthropic roots, she established this international foundation to drive awareness and develop sustainable solutions for protecting vulnerable children around the world. What drew me most to this charity though was its 100% promise (meaning that every penny received from the public goes directly towards actionable grass roots projects!)

Daniel Bedingfield (who is one of the Global Angel’s International Ambassadors) recently performed at an intimate “Angels in Concert” Global Angeles event at The Bedford in London to spread awareness and show his support the cause. Attendees chose to “Step Up” and become Angels –  check out these amazing photographs from the night: Step Up! Photos Angels in Concert – The Bedford 2010!

Here’s a video clip from the night as well: Gotta Get Thru This – The Bedford (Global Angels Event)

In addition to charity events, Daniel along with the other celebrity ambassadors (Natasha Bedingfield, Sean Kingston and Laura Michelle Kelly just to list a few) all serve as spokespeople for the charity. Using their recognized voices to spread awareness about injustices, they also inspire and inform others how the Global Angels organization helps reach out to children in need.

“Children are helpless. We need to ease their suffering the world over. By supporting Global Angels Foundation in their passion to raise crucial funding for projects that are helping children, we are giving them back the chance of a happy life and letting them know they are loved.” - Laura Michelle Kelly (International Ambassador)

For more information on the Global Angels charity and to find out how you can help, visit their website or “step up” to earn your “wings” by making a donation right now: Click here to donate. Also, make sure to stay up to date with the latest by connecting with Global Angels on Facebook and Twitter! Even if you don’t have the means to donate money, you can help by spreading the word about Global Angels through your own social networks – Feel free to share this post :)

Wishing you all a happy holiday xox

L.A. Feature: Kiwi Boy is Back

So, think back to the year 2001. Does the name Daniel Bedingfield ring a bell? If not, I’m sure you’d remember these two songs: “Gotta Get Thru This” and “If You’re Not the One” (< -- Take a listen). Daniel, who was born in New Zealand, actually grew up in southeast London where he developed an ear for music and passion for writing at a very young age. After self-recording "Gotta Get Thru This" in his own bedroom, Daniel got his big break at the age of 21 and quickly climbed the charts in the UK. Although it's been a while since Daniel's released new music, he's ready to rock and share his matured and energetic new tunes.

I was lucky enough to stumble across a tweet from @danielbedingfld asking for help (in L.A.) with social media as he prepares to release new music to the world. I was excited by the opportunity to help such a talented and driven musician! The first mission was to set him up with an official Facebook Fan Page where he’d be able to connect and share new music with his fans! If you’re not already a fan, make sure to “Like” him on Facebook. You can also connect with Daniel via Twitter and YouTube to be the first to see everything that Daniel’s got in the works… lots of incredible music coming up.

I’m so excited for everyone to hear all of the amazing music that he’s been working on. A few weeks ago, I helped Daniel with a video shoot up in the hills of Hollywood at Runyon Canyon! Daniel recorded a brilliant audio clip using only his vocals, a microphone and the FourTrack app on his iPhone 4! I really think you’ll be blown away when you hear this song and realize that it was all recorded LIVE.
