Jason Reeves – #CagedBirdsSetFree 11.15.11
“Now that my soul has been released my songs will no longer be held prisoner. Like Caged Birds Set Free they will fly. These 6 songs are the first step towards making up all the time lost in the past 3 years. I’m sorry we had to go through that together, but I’m very proud to be moving forward and on. I write songs in the hope they’ll be heard, that we can share them as human connection, and that will now be much more possible. Thank you for staying with me and believing. Love in truth.” – Jason Reeves
I couldn’t be more excited for Jason Reeves’ upcoming EP, Caged Birds Set Free to be released next Tuesday! Although his previous album, The Lovesick, only came out 3 months ago, Jason is making a statement with the speedy release of this EP. Sans record label holding his music prisoner, Jason is sharing 6 beautiful tracks with the world including the much anticipated songs, “Rescue” and “How Many Hearts“.
It’s truly refreshing to work with an artist who is so passionate and focused on making music for the sole purpose of sharing it with others. In a recent interview Jason says,
“My only goal in writing songs is to have people hear them and to inspire people the same way that other songs and other musicians inspired me. I don’t ever think about how much it is played and how many it has sold. That’s not important to me.”

#HappyBdayJoeBrooks <3
Okay, I know it’s been FOREVER (literally) since I last updated my blog… it’s been a very busy and exciting past month and a half! It’s included many ups (starting my own social media consulting) and downs (having my MacAir laptop and iPhone stolen at my beloved Coffee Bean) but I am back and excited to blog about one of the incredibly talented musicians I’m working with… Mr. Joe Brooks!
If you follow my tweets, I’m sure you are well aware that today Joe Brooks is celebrating his 24th birthday! Not only that, he also confirmed today that he will be touring Asia! Oh and a few weeks back his song, These Broken Hands of Mine off his album Constellation Me was featured on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy! Needless to say… the world need to watch out because big things are in store for this talented artist!
Joe Brooks most recently performed in front of a sold out crowd at the famous Roxy Theatre in Hollywood, CA and will be wrapping up his So. Cal tour with a show at Zoey’s Cafe this Saturday (5/21) in Ventura, CA! If you’re interested, you can get all the details and reserve your tickets here: Joe Brooks – Ventura, CA @ Zoeys :) Would love to see you all there!
If you haven’t already tweeted @joebrooksmusic to wish him a happy birthday, make sure to do so along with the hashtag #HappyBdayJoeBrooks or post on his Facebook page :) I have to say, Joe sure is lucky to have some of the most dedicated, loyal and amazing fans!

#SticksandStones… New Single from Jason Reeves
One of the very first musicians that I discovered upon my arrival to Los Angeles was the extremely talented lyricist and guitarist, Jason Reeves. If you’re not familiar with his name, I’m sure you’ve heard of some of the amazingly talented musicians that he’s worked with like Colbie Caillat. One of my favorite songs is actually one that they collaborated on called, Droplets:
Recently, I was put in touch with Jason’s management and asked if I’d be interested in helping with his social media efforts. Since social media is my passion and I truly believe in Jason’s talent, I was really excited about this opportunity! I’m really honored to be a part of the team and excited for everyone to hear his next single that comes out next week! The day after Valentine’s Day (February 15th), Jason will release Sticks & Stones which is the follow up track to his first single, Helium Hearts off his upcoming album, The Lovesick.
In celebration of his new single, Jason is currently hosting a Twitter Contest where an autographed lyric sheet is up for grabs!
